What does it look like to work on the big stage before the curtain goes up? The Open Rehearsal Program is a unique opportunity to watch a fragment of a musical rehearsal for groups organized from primary and secondary schools. Artists lift the edge of the mystery by inviting students into their creative world.

The program creates a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the current repertoire of the Teatr Wielki - National Opera and reveals the behind the scenes work of directors and artistic ensembles participating in the creation of opera and ballet performances. Observing the work of the teams allows you to develop greater sensitivity, richer imagination, but also to join the bloodstream of cultural life in the capital. To make even better use of the time spent during the program, we ask you to devote at least 1 lesson hour to familiarize yourself with the content of the performance and to discuss what literary, social and timeless values a particular work carries.

We invite younger groups (grades 5-8 of primary school) and approx. 12:00 for older groups (secondary schools). The duration of the trial is approx. 1h. During the rehearsal break, we plan to meet with the conductor, who will participate in the conversation with the youth and answer questions about the performance and his work. The estimated time of the meeting with Maestro is about 15 minutes.

The theater reserves the right to cancel individual meetings with the conductor due to the specifics of the work of the teams and the stage situation.
