NFM Orchestra Academy Open Rehearsal

This is the twelfth season of the NFM Orchestra Academy, a project that aims to professionally prepare young musicians to work in orchestras. We invite you to the January open rehearsal of the team made up of the participants of this year's edition.

One of the elements of the all-season workshops are orchestral classes that give participants the opportunity to get to know a wide range of orchestral repertoire and to translate into experience the knowledge gained during individual and sectional classes. It is also an opportunity to collaborate with top class musicians. The January classes will be conducted by Anna Sułkowska-Migoń — winner of the prestigious La Maestra competition in Paris (2022), winner of the Neeme Jarvi Prize (Gstaad Conducting Academy 2023), Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship 2022-2024, Political Passports 2022 in the category of Classical Music, the Corypheus of Polish Music 2022 in the Discovery of the Year category and the Young Polish Promoter award in the category Culture (2022)). The participants of the NFM Orchestra Academy will work under her direction on Johannes Brahms's Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Op. 68.

For several years now, the NFM Orchestra Academy has been providing an opportunity to observe the creative process that takes place during the rehearsal of a professional orchestra — a process that usually results in a concert. A fragment of the rehearsal available to the public is the last hour of the joint work of the young people and the teacher. We cordially invite you — your presence is an additional motivation for young people and a catalyst for releasing their emotions, and without them it is difficult to talk about real art.

The open rehearsal will last an hour and will take place without interruption.
