Workshops aimed at young people aged 13-15 years

Maximum number of participants is 20 people

The workshops will be an opportunity to get to know the work and innovative working methods of Jerzy Grotowski, a creator and reformer of the theater from Rzeszów, and to discover the theater through movement, voice and improvisation. Participants will develop their creativity, freedom of expression and confidence by learning how to communicate emotions, thoughts and relationships with others through the body and voice.

Following Grotowski, we will work physically (individually and in pairs). We will look for ways to express thoughts and emotions through movement and voice, and we will also consider what improvisation actually is and what gives us spontaneity when we want to express ourselves to others.

We will create a kind of laboratory, in which it is not only about performing subsequent tasks. There will be space to experiment, observe, draw conclusions together and, above all, create. And with all this we will have fun, because after all, the theater is also a space for play, freedom and the joy of acting together.

Meet the host:

Joanna Jaworska - certified dancer, choreographer and somatician, teacher of movement, dance and improvisation. He works at the intersection of dance, theater, improvisation and somatic practices. In his creative and educational work, he pays special attention to body awareness, motor expression and composition.

She has worked in Poland and abroad, collaborating with choreographers and artists, including the Chorea Theatre, the Jerzy Grotowski Institute and the Soharoz Choir in Budapest. Performances with her participation have been awarded many times and presented at festivals throughout Poland. He creates author's projects based on improvisation, dreaming and working with the process.

She taught classes for children, youth and adults, working with both actors, dancers and singers, as well as people with no previous stage experience. She worked as a teacher at the International School of Sports Championships and is currently designing and implementing educational projects aimed at young people.
