We design costumes - workshop

What does the king look like on stage? What about a witch, a robot or a dragon? A theatrical costume is not just clothing — it is a way to tell the audience who a character is. During the workshop “We design costumes” children will discover the secrets of the work of a costume designer and play the role of designers of theatrical creations. Participants will create their own costume sketches and then — using fabrics, paper and various ornaments — make costume designs for dolls or stage characters. Workshops develop imagination, teach visual thinking and sensitivity to detail. This is a great opportunity to play with theatrical fashion and see how important a costume plays in the creation of a performance. “We design costumes” is a workshop for people who like to create, draw and invent unusual worlds.
