Radiation

Scenes from the life of Maria Skłodowska-Curie.

What is real in this dream that we call life? Only things that are invisible are really important, they are the ones that radiate real light.

We invite you to a warm and lyrical but not devoid of humor story about a woman who, realizing her dreams, inscribed herself forever in the pages of human history.

A Skłodowska-Curie like we don't know. Wife, mother, lover... a woman of blood and blood, with passion and temperament, having the courage to live her way, contrary to conventions and others, ahead of her time. A moving portrait of a unique personality depicted against the background of an unusual era of the turn of the century.

We will look at the life and work of Maria Skłodowska-Curie from an unobvious point of view. In order to bring viewers closer to the figure of this two-time Nobel laureate, we will remove the layer of myth that has grown with it and we will look at the woman - her passion, her love, her victories and defeats. The story of Maria Skłodowska-Curie is also a story about the reality of the turn of the 20th century, of the world that was the world of men... and of the woman who shook this world.

“Radiation. Scenes from the Life of Maria Skłodowska-Curie” is a performance by the creators of “Time of Honour” Jarosław Sokol and Ewa Wencel.
