Please come off the stage is an excellent, at times bitter, at times touching and, above all, funny story about actors, artists of the theater. About the impact their profession has on their lives and how their private life affects the roles they create. What does it mean to be successful on the stage and when should you get off it?
Will there be a comedy or a tragedy when the six actors start talking to each other in their own words instead of dialogues from the play? This is the situation on the stage. Theater in the theater? Yes. The characters of John Chapman are actors who are currently at work, that is, in the theater, on the stage and should play the roles assigned to them in the performance. They should, but... they start talking in their own text, about their feelings and problems, and not play their characters. How not to get lost in this when you no longer know what is going on? The best way out is to lower the curtain, but it is jamming... So: get off the stage? And the spectators? Do viewers like this gibberish on stage or do they accept this “great improvisation”? Is real life on stage attractive? Will there be a comedy or a tragedy when the six actors start talking to each other in their own words instead of dialogues from the play? Talk with emotions and about the emotions of your own, not the characters you play. Viewers like to peek at actors, they like to look behind the scenes... but is real life on stage attractive? Does art imitate life or vice versa?
