Sofia Coppola's legendary directorial debut, which opened the door to the world of girls' secrets, returns to Polish cinemas in a restored 4K version! The Curses of Innocence is an adaptation of the cult novel by Jeffrey Eugenides, published several times in Poland. The story of the five Lisbon sisters tells the story of the first times and entering adulthood, before which it is impossible (or that for sure?) escape. Phenomenically shot by Ed Lachman, with ethereal musical setting performed by the duo Air, The Curses of Innocence is a sensual tale of growing up in the 1970s. A quarter of a century later, bathed in saturated, sunny colors, remains primarily a memory and a fantasy — written in abandoned diaries, felled trees and sounds gramophone records. The teenage Lisbon sisters are remembered by an unnamed narrator, in love years ago not so much with one of the girls as with the mood of mystery they had around them.
