We invite you to take a walk through the former Krakow ghetto, which will take place on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The main theme of this event will be the second deportation of Jews from the Krakow ghetto to the extermination center in Bełżec, carried out by the Germans on October 28, 1942. At that time, about 5 thousand people were deported, and several hundred were murdered on the spot by the occupiers. To remember and commemorate the victims of these actions, we will pass through Węgierska and Józefińska streets, stopping at the building of the former Kinderheim (orphanage) and at the Heroes' Square of the Ghetto. Weather permitting, we plan to finish on Lasota Hill, under the church of St. Benedict. We will talk about how the space of the city became a prison and an instrument of oppression, and in the language of witnesses we will present what happened to those imprisoned in the Krakow ghetto at the end of October.
