There they meet Rex - a puppy who has been trapped on the island for years and has become a real expert in everything related to ancient reptiles. The situation spirals out of control when the dogs' eternal rival, Mayor Humdinger, begins sourcing raw materials to harness the island's natural resources. It unwittingly leads to the eruption of a huge, dormant volcano. The dogs face a series of extremely risky rescue operations — bigger and more dangerous than ever before. They must stop Humdinger before everything on the island is irretrievably destroyed.
