Psych-Out! Italo meta horror: Closed Circuit + Demons

The demons are loose in Lamberto Bava's cult classic! A group of youngsters get locked in a cinema hall and are transformed one by one into gluttonous devil cubs. Lamberto (son of legendary Mario Bava) offers the analogue state of the art aesthetic of the special effects department of 1985 with the timbre of the time in a soundtrack that unites Billy Idol with Mötley Crüe and Pretty Maids. Soft wave heavy metal and blood in conflicting streams — and so excitable that laughter and laughter constantly replace each other. The original trailer for the film said it in its own way: If you have the courage to watch 'Demons', sit close to an exit, because otherwise you may never get out of the cinema hall again”. Over the top, yay! What's not to like?

A matinee performance of a spaghetti western in a sleepy Italian community cinema turns into a suspense-filled nightmare when the film's crucial gun-showdown suddenly breaks through the canvas: A shot is fired in the film and a fatal bullet strikes a spectator in the hall.
