Psychic Liberation (PL) is a label founded in 2013, originally run by Miguel Alvariño under the title Primitive Languages as a tape and record store project in New York City. Since 2019, Nick Klein has been running it solo from the EU under the name Psychic Liberation.

The concert series of the same name in the dome hall takes place with changing guests.

Horse Lords Horse Lords were founded in Baltimore in 2010 and emerged from the experimental collective Teeth Mountain. The band began as a trio with Sam Haberman (drums), Owen Gardner (guitar) and Max Eilbacher (bass); alto saxophonist Andrew Bernstein joined shortly after.

Although they come from Baltimore's noise and leftfield rock scene, their approach is much more versatile. In sixteen years of intensive touring, the band released ten studio, live and collaboration albums as well as a split EP with Lower Dens. For the FRKWYS series by RVNG Intl., they also worked with Berlin-based composer Arnold Dreyblatt.

Since 2021, three of the four members have been living in Germany, which opened up new artistic opportunities — for example at the Moers Festival, where they also performed music by Julius Eastman in an extended line-up. The band comments: “We always try to balance working within the quartet's limits with crossing these limits. ”

For their second album on RVNG Intl., Demand To Be Taken To Heaven Alive! , Horse Lords expanded their line-up to include Madison Greenstone (bass clarinet), Weston Olencki (trombone) and singers Nina Guo and Evelyn Saylor. The album comprises twelve new compositions.

The title refers to a poem by Russian futurist Vladimir Mayakovsky. The band also references Bauhaus weaver Anni Albers, Islamic geometric patterns, the Dutch avant-garde group Maciunas Ensemble, and composers and authors Tom Johnson, Henry Flynt and Catherine Christer Hennix. Musically, the spectrum ranges from Roscoe Holcomb and James Brown to Kuwaiti Bahraini Sawt as well as electronic composers such as Maryanne Amacher and Jaap Vink.

Audrey Chen & Nick Klein The work of Audrey Chen and Nick Klein unfolds as catalytic improvisation exercises in the area of extreme tonal contrasts, playing with connecting lines between organic and inorganic sound material and its dynamics. Chen and Klein have performed at various venues, including OCCII in Amsterdam, the Volksbühne Red Salon in Berlin and the Folkteater in Gothenburg. LP releases by the duo are planned for 2026, including on the US label Enmossed and on the Swedish label IDEAL Recordings.
