Is a work of art a vital corporeality alive with life? Can space touch with a tender touch, making us experience blissful peace and our breaths come into synchrony with it? In such bodily processes, how do we co-create that which is communal, where the human body merges with the non-human tissue of the Castle?

Castle

We invite you to

a series of workshops during which through various forms of motor improvisation

we will explore how our bodies coexist with the castle space and works of art

Producing what is community.

registrations: e.janczak@ckzamek.pl, decides the order of application

We will experience

expanding bodily awareness through motor improvisations: we will use

elements of contemporary dance, performance and martial arts to be carefully felt

space of the castle.

We will look at

reinventing art: we will consider whether works of art are only passive objects,

or living elements of the environment that affect us, just as we influence

not.

We will feel what

is communality: we will discover how the human body merges with architecture,

art and the environment around us into one interconnected ecosystem.

Allow yourself to

spontaneously explore the corporeal in the castle spaces and join

our research and artistic adventure!

Is a work of art a vital corporeality alive with life? Can space touch with a tender touch, making us experience blissful peace and our breaths come into synchrony with it? In such bodily processes, how do we co-create that which is communal, where the human body merges with the non-human tissue of the Castle?

As part of the workshop cycle in the form of artistic research, we will deal with the connection of the issues of corporeality and communality in the spaces of CK ZAMEK. In this context, we will also look at the role that intertwines of human and non-human dependencies play in this connection. For this purpose, we will use selected practices in the field of contemporary dance, movement improvisation, performance and broadly understood knowledge in the field of contemporary philosophy dealing with the issue of corporeality and materiality, and more broadly environmental humanities. During the workshop activities, we will enter various spaces of CK ZAMEK, visited by guests and guests of institutions, where artistic installations and their constituent works of art are presented. We will examine how in such a location we can create a sense of community, experienced at the level of bodily sensations in relation to works of art (is the work of art only a passive object of our observations? Or does it affect us as we do on them?). Both the works of art and the spaces of the Castle itself, together with the people who visit it, will be treated as interrelated corporeal, complex material ecosystems, constituting diverse types of community.

Allow yourself a spontaneous experience of corporeality in the castle spaces and embark with us on a research and artistic adventure with improvisation and movement.
