“You owe me, Franke!” Frank (Kim Bodnia) is a dealer in Vesterbro and good at his job. He roams around by car with his partner Tonny and routinely picks up deals for himself and his henchman, Serbian drug lord Milo. But one day, a deal strikes, and Frank ends up in a gigantic debt to Milo. Frank starts a desperate money hunt to save him from Milo and the encounter with a 9mm cartridge. Hopelessness, self-destructiveness and fatalism permeate Nicolas Winding Refn's impressive debut film. And not least, in the company of a gallery of people from Vesterbro's blackest night sky, it unfolds the Copenhagen of the 1990s with unadorned panache.
