There's a war going on. In a deserted city, two soldiers of enemy armies come upon each other - as it turns out, native brothers. They haven't seen each other in years. They have one last night before the onslaught of troops will sweep the city off the face of the earth in the morning. They will wander through dilapidated buildings and streets to recall, with nostalgia, regret, but also humor, the good and bad moments of such a ridiculously ending life, and thus rediscover brotherly and human understanding. “Empty City” is existential grotesque in the shadow of wartime absurdity. The protagonists of the acting duodrama, brothers Gero (Mateusz Krzyk) and Gore (Bartosz Bulanda), after years of separation as deserters from hostile armies meet for one night on no man's land just before a planned attack on the deserted city. They have a few hours to - fueled by herbs, alcohol and mushrooms - to make a journey into the past in search of the truth about themselves and mutual understanding.Grzegorz Żurawinski
