EMPTY CITY — show available
October 24, Big Stage
18:30 — audience opening | 19:00 — performance | 20:45 — conversation with actors and audience
“Empty City” is the story of two brothers who meet after many years. Gero and Gore are soldiers of enemy armies. They meet by chance in an abandoned city where the civil war is going on. They don't know they're brothers until they recognize each other. The next day, an attack is scheduled to begin, which will destroy the city.
The brothers only have one night to talk and reminisce about their life together. They roam the ruined city. They remember childhood, good and difficult moments. They talk about what happened between them. They are trying to understand each other and rebuild their relationship.
“Empty City” is a play about war, brotherhood, loneliness and the need for agreement. Both humor and difficult emotions appear in the play.
ADDITIONAL ACTION
After the performance, there will be a workshop in the form of a discussion with the audience and actors. It will be an opportunity to talk about the show, the topics covered in it and the feelings of the viewers. The meeting will be preceded by an audio lecture and translated into Polish Sign Language. A 15-minute break is planned between the performance and the conversation.
