Published in 2019, the book “Pustostany” was Dorota Kotas's debut and immediately stormed the Literary Olimp, winning three very important awards in 2020: the Gdynia Literary Award 2020, the Conrad Prize 2020 for the best literary debut and the Witold Gombrowicz Literary Award 2020.

The staging of the Białystok Puppet Theater is the first attempt to professionally transfer Dorota Kotas's book to the stage, an attempt - let us add - very specific. You will be dealing with a monodrama that was created as part of the BTL Proposal Scene. The role of the heroine and at the same time the narrator of the play, singlehandedly describing, as happens in the book, unusual aspects of everyday life, is played by the outstanding actress of BTL Łucja Grzeszczyk.

The show is full of humor, grotesque and purnonsense, cartoon and musical jokes. There is, of course, a note of reflection, but as in a good crime novel, we cannot reveal everything at once. Come, and you will certainly not regret it!

The play takes part in the 30th National Competition for the Exhibition of Polish Contemporary Art.
