Queen Budapešť

Sony Music Vision is proud to announce that “Queen Budapest” - the recording of the first Western stadium rock concert behind the Iron Curtain and the last filmed live performance of Queen - will be released in IMAX cinemas and theaters and the “Muza” Cinema in Włoszczów worldwide from October 7. Trafalgar Releasing is responsible for global distribution. It is also the first official Sony Music Vision project carried out in collaboration with Queen, inaugurating the official Sony Music partnership for the band's catalog.

The concert was recorded on July 27, 1986 at the Népstadion stadium in Budapest, during the “The Magic Tour” tour. It was a landmark event — Queen were the first Western rock band to perform behind the Iron Curtain during a period of profound political and cultural change. All 80,000 tickets for the concert were sold out, and an estimated 45,000 more people listened to the performance outside the stadium. Fans from distant countries, including Poland and the Soviet Union, also came to the concert.

The video is shown with English subtitles.
