With the sounds of postpunk and new wave, Radio Free Alice kicks the door in to Ideal Bar
On 30 October Radio Free Alice's long-awaited debut album What's in Between will be released. On the record, the band has worked closely with producers Ewan Pearson (Depeche Mode, Franz Ferdinand) and Peter Katis (Interpol, The National).
Led by frontman and vocalist Noah Learmont, the Melbourne-based quintet has since 2020 created a nostalgic blend of new wave and post-punk, with an eighties-sounding bass gait and sharp guitar riffs directing minds in the direction of bands such as The Smiths and Joy Division.
Over the past year, Radio Free Alice has burst onto the international scene. With their breakthrough single “Rule 31,” they've played at some of the world's biggest festivals, from Governors Ball in New York to Reading & Leeds in England.
At home in Australia, they were support for indie favourites Geese on the band's first tour Down Under, while they have previously warmed up for The Killers on their arena tour.
The band's rapid rise has even secured them a place on The NME 100: Essential Emerging artists for 2025.
Expect sharp guitars, irresistible hooks and a concert full of energy, humour and dark new wave euphoria when Radio Free Alice hits Danish soil for the first time at Ideal Bar on 4 November.
