All this to discover that history is not a closed past, but a conversation that is still going on. It's proof that her narrative doesn't just happen in textbooks, but in real places and between real people.
During the Sunday meetings at the Warsaw Things exhibition, we will go through the labyrinth of cabinets to meet one selected object. We will look at what he tells us, what stories he hides and what he may have to do with our lives today.
Bolesław Prus had an extraordinary ability to observe and capture what was of little importance to others. He memorized faces, places and gestures and from everyday observations he created stories that still allow us to see 19th century Warsaw.
