Ravenous was proposed for our Halloween programme by our member Nancy Netherwood, who writes: ‘This hugely underrated historical horror comedy-drama is a favourite of mine – both very creepy and massively entertaining with excellent performances from Guy Pearce and Robert Carlyle. Also one of the most unique scores I’ve ever heard (from Damon Albarn and Micheal Nyman no less!)’
In a remote military outpost in the 19th Century, Captain John Boyd and his regiment embark on a rescue mission which takes a dark turn when they are ambushed by a sadistic cannibal.
