30 years since the release of the last studio album Genesis. Ray Wilson returns to the music that has forever been recorded in the history of the band.
Ray Wilson will perform again at Cavatina Hall, this time as part of a unique tour commemorating the 30th anniversary of the release of “Calling All Stations”, the last studio album of Genesis and at the same time the record that opened a new chapter in the history of the band.
In 1997, the Scottish singer joined Genesis, becoming the voice of the group after the departure of Phil Collins. Together with the band, he recorded “Calling All Stations”, giving his compositions a characteristic, deep and emotional timbre. Although three decades have passed since the release of the album, his music still finds a special place among fans of Genesis and the work of Ray Wilson.
The anniversary tour will be an opportunity to return to this extraordinary period and hear live tracks from “Calling All Stations” performed by the artist who was their original vocalist. The program will also include the most important compositions from the rich history of Genesis, creating a cross-sectional story of the band's music — from its classic recordings to the final chapter of studio activity.
There will also be songs from Ray Wilson's solo career. Thanks to this, the concert will be more than a jubilee memory — it will become a meeting with an artist who has been developing his own musical language for years, while remaining an important part of the Genesis story.
“Calling All Stations — 30th Anniversary Tour” is a unique opportunity to hear the music of the last Genesis studio album interpreted by the man who co-created this chapter of the band. This is an evening for those who remember Genesis with Ray Wilson, but also for new listeners who want to discover this extraordinary part of rock history.
