TOGETHER IN ART: Patchwork Tales (Adult Workshop)

We invite participants to intimate, creative meetings from the series “Together in Art”. The meeting will take place on November 13 (Friday) at 17:30 in the TEMPORARY LOCATION of the gallery — al. Marsz. J. Piłsudski 44.

PATCHWORK STORIES

Patchwork stories are creative workshops in which we will give a second life to colorful fabrics, patterns and textures. We will create unique compositions from fabric scraps, lace and various textile accessories. Inspired by the patchwork and collage technique, we will design our own applications, which we will then glue on canvas bags, creating original, unique accessories. This will be a time to experiment and go deeper into our fantasies. Each of the participants will create their own story, a story that they can always have with them.

The meeting will be led by Julia Gumowska — a visual artist associated with the Faculty of Art of UWM in Olsztyn, a graduate of undergraduate studies in the visual structures studio. In her creative work, she mainly deals with relational art and immersive art. It works by using textile techniques. He seeks new forms of expression, drawing inspiration from old folk crafts, but giving the works his own modern expression. He creates tapestries in various forms and appearances. The artist defines herself artistically with broadly understood fabric, theater and scenography.

_____

“Together in Art” is a series of meetings for adults who want not only to learn and watch art, but also to experience and co-create it. Working together with artists and craftsmen from the Warmia and Masuria region, the participants will learn a variety of creative techniques — from traditional to contemporary and will use them to create their own interpretations and activities. Together in Art is a space where everyone can become a creator, regardless of experience or skill — and art becomes a common language of understanding, reflection and inspiration.
