The evening will begin with the Etude in A flat major op. 25 no. 1, followed by the second part of the Concerto in F minor, Op. 21 in the piano solo version — a calm, lyrical link belonging to the most recognizable fragments of this work. In the following section we will hear Polonaise in C minor Op. 26 No. 1, Impromptu in F major op. 36 and Mazurki op. 63. The program will be completed by Prelude in C minor Op. 45, Scherzo in C minor op. 39 and Nocturne in E major op. 62 no. 2.
Michał Szymanowski is a participant of the 17th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition. The recital will take place as part of the “Chopin Effect” series.
