Cruise in the sky

Have you ever wondered what the calendar and the zodiac constellations have in common? How many constellations will we see in the sky? What stories do they tell? And what exactly are they? If you want to know the answers to these questions, embark with us on a journey through the ancient world of Mesopotamia, Greece, Australia and the Mayan civilization, going on the eponymous sky cruise.

Not all of us have the opportunity to travel to the Southern Hemisphere. No one can travel in time. Fortunately, at the Planetarium, both of these things are possible. Thanks to us, you will travel back in time and learn what the Mayans saw in the sky and how the Incas explained the formation of the Milky Way. You will know the thirteenth zodiacal constellation and discover which Polish king was commemorated in the sky. Traveling to the southern hemisphere, we will look for the famous Southern Cross, which pointed the way for sailors, and we will see among the stars the silhouette of the mythological Centaur.

“Sky Cruise” is a show entirely dedicated to the constellations. It is conducted live and partially improvised, which is why the translation available through headphones is not literal. It focuses on the description of the observed objects and phenomena.
