Resident Evil

From the creator of the horror hits BARBARIANS and DISAPPEARANCES, Zach Cregger, comes a brand new chapter in the iconic RESIDENT EVIL series.

Filled with tension, adrenaline and a relentless struggle for survival, the film follows the story of Bryan (Austin Abrams), an ordinary medical courier whose life turns into a nightmare on one fateful night. Unconsciously, he is drawn into the center of deadly chaos, where every decision can mean life or death.

Resident Evil is a Japanese survival horror franchise created by Capcom in 1996. It mainly includes video games, but also cinema films, series, animations, comics and books.

To this day, it is one of the best-selling horror series in the history of video games.

So far, eight films have been made based on this brand, but, beware: this is RESIDENT EVIL, something completely new, because the creator of the film is Zach Cregger, whose last year's ZNICS shook the world box office. It was the director himself who chose RESIDENT EVIL for his next project and presented in it his own story set in the world of the video game saga that he himself loved.

The director emphasizes that the film based on the beloved series fully reflects his style: Actually a Zach Cregger film, which is simply a film in the Resident Evil series. The whole concept is that Bryan, the main character, is not a typical character from the game, has no combat skills and is completely inept when it comes to survival. Bryan is just an ordinary man who happens to be entrusted with some kind of sacred mission that will take him to the very center of events. It's a bit like Frodo going to Mordor.

Cregger remained true to the film's identity as the original story, but at the same time created a film independent of any previous installment in the series. Thanks to this, the new RESIDENT EVIL will certainly satisfy the expectations of fans of the series and will also interest the rest of the viewers.
