Resurgam | poetry slam

The second edition of the Festival is a series of cultural events inspired by the life and work of the author of “Danton's Affairs”. The title of the festival — “Resurgam” (Latin for “resurrection”) emphasizes the need to restore to the audience, including contemporary Gdańsk and Gdańsk women, the figure of a writer forgotten over the years, of whom few traces remain in the city.

This year's edition will be realized in conjunction with the ongoing year of Andrzej Wajda and in the direct context of the film “Danton” and the play “The Case of Danton” in the legendary staging in the Wielki Młyno in Gdańsk in 1980.

The organizer of the event is the Gdańsk Archipelag of Culture, a partner of the Dom Literatura project in Gdańsk.

Festival edition of the poetic slam inspired by the author of “Danton's Affairs”. The theme of the first round: rebellion and revolution. The victory in the 3-minute duels will be decided by the audience.

Katarzyna Andrulonis — animator and cultural organizer from Gdańsk. She is engaged in the production of cultural events, education and coordination of artistic projects. In the years 2020-2025, she headed the GAK Spot in Zaspa. She coordinated the International Festival of Outdoor and Street Theaters FETA, inShort Film Festival — IN POLAND and many theatrical, literary and interdisciplinary events. She has also co-created projects using culture as a tool for integration of Gdańsk residents, including people with experience of migration. Associated with the Tri-City slum environment. She works at the House of Literature in Gdańsk — Gdańsk City of Literature Unesco. He regularly leads the Slam in Blokowisko.
