ABOUT CHOREOGRAPHY
Jacek Przyowicz — A graduate of the Roman Turczynowicz State Ballet School and the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. In the years 1987-1991 he was a dancer at the Teatr Wielki in Warsaw. After leaving Poland for the rest of his performing career, he danced in Germany and Israel. For 7 years he was a dancer with the Kibbutrz Contemporary Dance Company under the direction of Rami Be`er. He also performed with Batsheva Dance Company in a performance by Kyr Ohad Naharin as part of the Yair Shapiro Awards.
After returning to Poland, he focused exclusively on choreographic work, producing several dozen performances for, among others, the Polish National Ballet, the Polish Dance Theater, the Ballet of the Baltic Opera, the Ballet of the Wrocław Opera, the Ballet of the Wielki Theater in Poznań, the Ballet of the Wielki Theater in Łódź, the Ballet of the Opera Nova and the Kielce Dance Theater. For years she has also performed abroad, including in Dantzaz — San Sebastian, Beijing Dance LDTX, Prague Chamber Ballet, National Theatre Ballet — Brno, TanzKompania Giessn, Aura Dance Theatre — Kaunas, CEPRODAC — Mexico City. His works have been presented by Polish and foreign ensembles at dozens of festivals around the world.
