Rita Payés & Lucía Fumero

Some friendships resonate even before meeting. A piano that asks, a trombone that answers, two voices that play at recognising each other. From this comes the joint album by Rita Payés and Lucía Fumero: an intimate, simple work, woven with care and emotion. The music draws from the freedom of jazz and roots that intertwine with Latin American echoes. With the collaboration of Juan R. Berbín, the compositions find a natural balance — each piece feels as though it has always existed, waiting to be discovered. 'Los querubines' glow slowly and warmly, 'La primavera' emerges like a secret spoken aloud, and 'El diablito de San Juan' plays with life as if it were a game.

Performers: Lucía Fumero (piano, vocals, guitar), Rita Payés (vocals, trombone, synthesizer), Juan R. Berbín (drums, percussion, electronic textures)
