Roberto Alagna — Concert Gala

Another opera star at NFM! Already in February, Roberto Alagna will delight the audience with his vocal performance on the most prestigious stages of the world. Together with the NFM Choir and the NFM Chamber Orchestra Leopoldinum under the baton of Christian Danowicz, the charismatic singer will provide music lovers with an evening full of unforgettable sensations.

Roberto Alagna has in his repertoire all the most important French and Italian tenor roles, to mention only Don José (Carmen), Cavaradossi (Tosca), Prince of Mantua (Rigoletto) or Cania (Pajace). In addition, he is an avid popularizer of lesser-known works, such as Frank Alfano's Cyran de Bergerac, Jules Massenet's Madonna Bowler or Édouard Lalo's Fiesque. Fans of the artist's talent are certainly no stranger to his achievements in the field of popular and traditional music, such as the performance of Sicilian and Neapolitan songs (Sicilien or Malèna albums), Latin American (Pasiòn) and French (Le chanteur). In recent years, Alagna has even made his debut in the musical world, playing the title role in Jean-Félix Lalanne's Al Capone. As for the singer's recital of this format, we can expect both absolute classics, as well as undiscovered gems and dazzling surprises.

Roberto Alagna — a tenor with a magnetic stage personality — last appeared in NFM exactly ten years ago with soprano Aleksandra Kurzak. The artist, famous for his evocative phrase and strong, momentous voice, will present himself during the concert, which will be conducted by the outstanding violinist and concertmaster of the NFM Leopoldinum Chamber Orchestra Christian Danowicz.
