Adolph Menzel drew everywhere and everything—people, trees, interiors, light, gestures and everyday situations. He was a master of careful observation, and the sketchbook accompanied him almost always. During the workshop we will learn some simple exercises that will help us look like artists. We will learn to perceive proportions, light and the most important lines by making short sketches of selected fragments of works and the surrounding space of the museum. Finally, we will create our own sketchbooks that everyone can take home to become an attentive observer.
