Capibara Barbara and her family leave sunny Pernambuco. They set off for ice-bound Poland for the wedding of Aunt Flor and Uncle Valdemar. For the first time in their lives, they see winter and do not know whether gloves are put on the tail or on the ears, where their favorite grass has gone and what the Christmas tree is doing at home. During the frosty stay in Poland, however, they discover the warmth of Christmas. But before that beautiful family time comes, they're setting up... a nice nativity scene.
