About the tour

On the first Thursday of the month, we slow down and experience carefully selected artworks. Join us for a leisurely tour of our art collection.

At SMK we have a huge art collection with 700 years of art and 200,000 works of art, so there is enough to get started with here. On this tour we do not try to reach it all, but take the time to experience the art at a leisurely pace and with room for contemplation. Our tour presents selected works of art, each of which can be considered the main works of the museum's collection. Through the art you get the history of the museum across time and themes.

We take our time in front of the artworks, for the tour between them and at the start and end of the tour. It is possible to bring a folding chair so that you can sit down in front of the works of art.

Each tour has new artwork in focus, so you can go along for more tours if you like.

Practical information

Date and time
August 6, September 3, October 1, November 5 and December 3, 4pm-5pm.

Venue
We meet at the meeting place in the front hall. Our tour guide is present in the vestibule a quarter of an hour before the start of the tour if you have any questions about the tour or internship.

75 DKK plus entrance ticket or SMK Annual Pass.
