A conversation about the art of Marian Kępiński in the Wozownia Gallery

We invite you on Friday (9 October) at 6 pm to a discussion accompanying the exhibition “Road, Nature, Memory”, presenting painting, watercolors and drawings by Marian Kępiński (1942—2023) — one of the important creators of the Łódź artistic community of the second half of the 20th and early 21st centuries. The exhibition can be viewed from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Wozownia 1/5 Gallery.

The meeting will be an opportunity to talk about the artist's creative path, the characteristic language of his art and the motifs of nature, memory and spiritual search present in it. Participants will look at the achievements of Marian Kępiński from an artistic, pedagogical and personal perspective. The discussion will also attempt to answer the question about the relevance of art based on concentration, careful observation and the discovery of meanings in the world of nature and everyday objects. An important topic of the meeting will be the pedagogical activity of Marian Kępiński and its importance for the next generations of artists associated with the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.
