The Club under the Stage in the Forest Opera powered by Energa — once inaccessible to the public, a meeting place for artists during concerts and festivals — has recently opened to a wider audience. It is here, in the space just below the main stage, that the series “Conversations under the Stage” is realized — meetings with outstanding and inspiring personalities associated with the Forest Opera.

This last winter meeting from the series “Conversations under the Stage” is a unique opportunity to meet Stan Boris — one of the most charismatic figures of Polish music. Singer, composer, poet, actor and songwriter, he has remained true to his own artistic path for more than six decades, inspiring subsequent generations of listeners.

Born Stanisław Guzek in Załęża in Podkarpackie, he began his artistic activity at the end of the 50s in the theaters of Rzeszów. He co-created the legendary band Blackout together with Tadeusz Nalepa, and then was associated with the Bizona formation. He began his solo career in the late 60s, quickly gaining recognition from the audience and critics.

During the meeting we will talk about his extraordinary artistic path, musical inspirations, poetry, emigration to the United States and how the Polish music scene has changed over the years. There will also be memories, anecdotes and reflections of a man who for decades has remained a symbol of artistic independence and fidelity to his own values. The meeting will be hosted by Ewa Gil-Kołakowska.

“Conversations under the Stage” is an invitation to the world of artists — to a space where festival life has been vibrant for years, and which today opens up to the public, offering close, authentic meetings and conversations in an unusual setting.
