DANCING WAWEL DRAGON

What does the Wawel Dragon do when he is tired of the Wawel chambers, the duties and the constant barking of fire? How will he plan his first dragon vacation? And what can happen when a film director with a head full of ideas stands in the way of the legendary Krakow hero?

We invite you to a family show, in which we will tell about our Polish tradition with hubris, fantasy and humor. After years of service at the Cracow court, the legendary Wawel Dragon goes on a well-deserved vacation. He travels through different regions of Poland, learning about local legends and customs. His goal is the Baltic Sea coast, where among many vacationers he accidentally meets a film director. Delighted with the memories of the Dragon, the filmmaker decides to make him a real star, and the metamorphosis of a respectable hero into a celebrity brings a lot of laughter and surprising twists. The dance energy and folk color of the whole story will be added by the dance pairs of the “Mali Gorzowiacy” ensemble, who will present Polish regional dances in colorful costumes. Our imagination will be awakened by the theater of shadows, in which animation and the play of professional actors will allow the ancient legends to speak the language of image, light and movement.

How will the fate of the Dragon unfold and how will this unusual journey end? Rumor has it that it's okay. And that at the end of the whole adventure, a big, dragon surprise awaits everyone!
