pl. Teatralny 4 (Teatr Komedia), Wrocław

The play “Rubinowe Gody 2” by Krzysztof Kędziora directed by Wojtek Dąbrowski is a brilliant continuation of the story, in which the everyday life of the protagonists gains theatrical momentum, and the usual conversations turn into humorous and emotional clashes. Grażyna (Małgorzata Szeptycka) and Halina (Magdalena Margulewicz/Aleksandra Zienkiewicz) bring energy and a feminine perspective to the stage, showing how different perspectives on life can clash and complement each other. Marian (Paweł Okoński) and Edward (Wojciech Dąbrowski) give the story a tone of irony and distance, balancing between seriousness and comedy, and their relationships with the other characters reveal the unobvious faces of friendship and love. The appearance of the mysterious “Someone” (Michał Mrozek) introduces an element of the puzzle that shatters the established order and forces the characters to confront their own weaknesses. The doorman (Radosław Kasiukiewicz), although seemingly on the sidelines of events, becomes a silent observer and catalyst for change.

“Ruby Marriage 2” is a performance in which laughter is intertwined with reflection, and the lightness of the dialogues hides questions about the permanence of feelings, the value of living together and the importance of daily rituals. It is a theater that entertains, but at the same time makes you think about how much ruby glow can be found in ordinary moments.
