Ruby Mating

Can the 40th wedding anniversary end in a political scandal? “Ruby Mating” is a humorous comedy about a long-time married couple who decides to celebrate their anniversary differently than usual for at least once. A luxury hotel, a weekend together and the promise of a little rest, however, quickly turn into a series of misunderstandings, suspicions and situations from which it is increasingly difficult to get out face to face.

Grażyna and Marian leave together for the first time in their lives to celebrate forty years of marriage. It could have been a peaceful, albeit somewhat forced meeting for two, if not for the mysterious guest hiding under the bed and the doorman, who very quickly tells himself his own version of events. The innocent departure begins to resemble a dangerous intrigue in which private marital tensions are mixed with an atmosphere of scandal at the heights of power.

“Ruby Mating” is a comedy about how one evening can turn life upside down. Brilliant dialogues, surprising twists and accurate observations of long-standing relationships create a spectacle that entertains, but also reminds that it is never too late for closeness, tenderness and a little madness.
