Co-founders of the legendary band RUSH, Geddy Lee [bass, keyboards, vocals] and Alex Lifeson [guitar, vocals], announced their return to the stage in 2025 with a unique FIFTY SOMETHING TOUR that will visit Canada, the US and Mexico in 2026, celebrating RUSH's music, their legacy and the life of the late drummer and songwriter., Neil Peart. The fan response was overwhelming — the first 22 shows sold out instantly, and the tour grew to 58 shows in 24 cities, selling over half a million tickets.
Now the musicians are happy to announce the expansion of the tour with dates in South America, the UK and Europe in 2027. It will be the band's first European appearance since 2013 and their first visit to South America in 17 years. During 24 concerts in 13 countries, the band will play two sets each evening. Each concert will feature a unique set of songs — RUSH will build setlists from a catalog of more than 40 songs, including the biggest hits and fan favorites.
As part of the Fifty Something Tour, Lee and Lifeson will perform with German drummer, composer and producer Anika Nilles, who has played more than 60 concerts as Jeff Beck's drummer and has released four solo albums. The band will also be joined by keyboardist Loren Gold (The Who, Roger Daltrey).
RUSH has taken rock music to previously unknown territories and unprecedented heights with the unique collaboration of Geddy Lee [bass, keyboards, vocals], Alex Lifeson [guitar, vocals] and the late Neil Peart [drums, lyrics]. The band has sold more than 45 million albums worldwide, received seven GRAMMY nominations, amassed billions of plays and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The impact of this pioneering trio is inestimable and spans generations of fans, creating one of the most dedicated communities in music history. The artists have redefined rock without boundaries, combining masterful instrumentalism, epic vocals, provocative lyrics and timeless storytelling—both in sound and subject matter.
RUSH achieved “the third highest number of consecutive gold and platinum studio albums among rock bands — second only to The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.” Among the many honors were the Officer of the Order of Canada (1996), the Governor General's Performing Arts Award (2012), a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The world said goodbye to Neil Peart on January 7, 2020, after his battle with brain cancer. Paying tribute to Peart and the band's legacy, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. This is a unique opportunity for new listeners to experience this music live in full glory for the first time, as well as for loyal fans to reunite under the RUSH banner.
