Russia Neumann

Russia Neumann is a 20-year-old British artist, born and raised in London, whose rich Jamaican and German heritage and deep musical roots have shaped her distinctive voice and identity.

Her smoky, soulful vocals draw on the spirit of jazz and soul, while her songwriting captures her own experiences of growing up, going out and navigating life in London in the 2020s. The daughter of a UK soul legend, granddaughter of a jazz trumpeter and niece of a renowned gospel singer, music has always been part of Russia’s world.

Already making her mark on London’s live scene, Russia has performed at iconic venues including Ronnie Scott’s, The Jazz Café and Boisdale, where she recently received an award presented by Jools Holland. Her music and performances are also beginning to attract the attention of some of music’s most respected figures, with Paul Weller and Dave Grohl among those who have already taken notice.

With a growing catalogue of original music, a compelling live presence and a style unmistakably her own, Russia is carrying a remarkable musical heritage forward while forging a path entirely of her own.
