RICHARD KRYNICKI & CORE 2

One of the most outstanding contemporary Polish poets — Ryszard Krynicki — will perform on 17 October at 11:45am at the Musical Theatre in Poznań. It will be a unique meeting of poetry and music, prepared in collaboration with the Ingarden Institute.

The event is an original project of the visual artist Piotr Lutyński, who combined the work of Ryszard Krynicki with an improvised instrumental musical layer.

Ryszard Krynicki is a poet, translator and publisher, as well as one of the most important creators of contemporary Polish poetry. Along with Stanisław Barańczak, Adam Zagajewski, Julian Kornhauser and Ewa Lipska, he is one of the leading representatives of the New Wave generation. His work, sparing and focused on the word, has occupied an important place in Polish literature for years. Ryszard Krynicki is also an Honorary Citizen of the City of Poznań.

The inspiration for the creation of this unusual project was the admiration for the work and the person of the poet.

During the October event, the poet will present his texts, accompanied by the musicians of the band Rdzeń 2: Piotr Lutyński (violin, whistling), Grzegorz Kosowski (electric guitar), Fryderyk Lutyński (keyboards) and Kacper Iwo Matuszewski (drums).
