About classes

During the workshop, participants will learn the basics of linocut and create their own compositions inspired by traditional red and blue embroidery from the area of Rzeszów. Based on the prepared patterns, they will design small stencils, which they will then use to make their own prints.

The workshop will be an opportunity to learn about traditional plant motifs and their creative processing. Participants will be able to compose patterns on their own, combine prepared elements — including flowers and leaves — and experiment with the layout and color of prints.

The workshops are implemented as part of the project “Resovianistyka — Młoda Akademia Rzeszów” and will be a unique opportunity to get to know the local heritage and creatively experiment with traditional design.

Meet the host:

Weronika Salach is an artist, illustrator and passionate about culture and folk art. Her work stems from the folklore of the people of Rzeszów and her interest in the local cultural heritage. In his works he combines traditional motifs, patterns and symbols with the contemporary language of illustration and graphics. He mainly creates digital illustrations, graphics and acrylic paintings. In her artistic activity, she tries to present the culture of the region in an accessible and contemporary way.

Availability: Architecturally accessible place. The elevator is to the left of the entrance. In the toilet for people with special needs there is a changing table for children. There is an induction loop at the ticket office, there are free sound stoppers and paid sound-absorbing headphones for children and adults.
