Quite a lot, many have answered in the many years of considering marriage as the culmination of the love relationship. But it hasn't always been that way -- and maybe it won't stay that way either?

Karen Vallgårda is a leading expert in emotional history and has researched how our perceptions of love and marriage have changed over time — and what happens when the dream bursts. Together with Vallgårda we take a tour de force through the history of marriage, from community supporting institution to individual self-realization project. And we discuss what becomes of marriage in the divorce community

The conversation will be moderated by editor Janus Lauritsen, and there will be plenty of time for questions from — and debate with — the room.

Please note that space cannot be reserved and that the view of the stage is restricted from certain seats.Find wayFrom the Central Hall of the Main Library you will find the stage area on the 4th floor in the following ways:

Take the elevator that you find on your right hand when you step from Krystalgade into Centralsalen. The stage is on the right when you step out of the elevator. Take the stairs that you will find on your right hand when you step from Krystalgade into Centralsalen. Follow the stairs up to fourth. The stage is on the right as you step out onto the floor.Follow the escalators up to the 3rd floor. At the end of the last escalator, a staircase goes on your right side up to the 4th floor. Go right to get to the stage area.
