Human conditions in the time of climate crisis. Author interview with Nikolaj Schultz.
Sociologist Nikolaj Schultz made a breakthrough with the international bestseller Memo on the New Ecological Class, co-written with Bruno Latour, which at the time of writing has been translated into 15 languages. Later, the auto-ethnographic Earthsickness was published, which examines what it means to live with the awareness that every footprint you leave contributes to changing planetary conditions—and thus one's own existential terms.
Join us as Schultz guests the Main Library for a conversation about human conditions in times of climate crisis and how we ourselves are transforming as the climate and landscape change. Perhaps a new existentialism is needed?
The conversation will be moderated by editor Janus Lauritsen, and there will be plenty of time for questions from — and debate with — the room.
