The progressive rock icons celebrate almost 50 years as a band with The Generations Tour 2027, which can be experienced at the band's Copenhagen home ground in Amager Bio on April 25.

They have sold millions of albums, played sold-out arenas worldwide and been pioneers of progressive rock since the late '70s. With their massive synth surfaces, iconic guitar hooks and a catalogue full of rock classics, SAGA is once again ready to take over Denmark.

Over nearly five decades, the Canadian band has evolved into one of the most respected names in melodic progrock with classics such as On The Loose, Wind Him Up and The Flyer, while their technical excess and grand live shows have made them a cult name among rock fans worldwide.

The band broke through internationally with the album Worlds Apart in 1981, which became a massive success in both North America and Europe and secured them rotation on MTV as well as a Juno Award as “Most Promising Group of the Year” in Canada. Since then, SAGA has released more than 20 studio albums, sold over 10 million records and built a loyal fan base in Scandinavia, among others.

SAGA has always moved at the intersection of progressive rock, melodic arena-rock and technological innovation. They were among the first rock bands to experiment with digital live recordings, interactive music releases, and visual concert productions — long before it became standard in the industry.

Today, the band consists of Michael Sadler, Ian Crichton, Jim Gilmour, Mike Thorne and Mike Borkosky, and with The Generations Tour 2027, the band marks both their long history and their continued relevance as one of the genre's most enduring names.

Audiences can expect an evening filled with classic hits, magnificent arrangements and the unique combination of progrock, melodic strength and technical excess that has made SAGA an institution for almost 50 years when they take over Amager Bio in spring 2027.
