Samba Made in Berlin

In this format, Berlin-based formations whose work is based on Brazilian musical traditions present themselves.

This year, it is Banda Furiosa, known primarily for her long-standing presence in the Carnival of Cultures, Dudu Tucci's project Afoxé Berlin and the hosts Terra Brasilis.

Samba Made in Berlin is complemented by Faces Ocultas, a contemporary dance company from Brazil. She will be presenting herself here for the first time in Germany.

Banda Furiosa Experience playing both on stage and directly in the audience

Every year, Banda Furiosa takes part in major events such as the IFA, the big Berlin Marathon, the International Children's Festival, the Carnival of Cultures, or the “Fete de la Musique”.

With their original music and dance performances, the band creates the best atmosphere. Her passion for making music is overwhelming and is transferred to the audience; her animation makes people laugh and join in.

Since the band does not need electrical amplifiers or systems, the musicians can move freely in the room and play at different locations and thus reach the audience directly.

The group plays samba, Afro-Brazil and samba reggae with a cast of six to twelve musicians.
