In the vicinity of Odessa, on the salt lake Kuyalnyk, stands a monumental building of the 70s - a sanatorium reminiscent of Soviet times. Although the sanatorium has long lost its former popularity, it still attracts guests who are thirsty for rest and healing. They come here to bathe in salt water, smear themselves with black mud, which has a health effect, use electrotherapy and salt baths, and by the way seek love, friendship and respite.
“Sanatorium” takes us on a journey through the summer season of this extraordinary place, showing employees who are devoted to the care, comfort and entertainment of the guests - even despite the proximity of war. After the session, a meeting with Boris Tynka — a guide to Odessa and Ukraine. The conversation is conducted by Anna Ursulenko.
