NATIONAL SCENE OF COMEDY dell'Arte
at Praska Theatre 52
Troupe KOMEDIANTY
NEIGHBOR
Comedia dell'arte

Brief description of the performance, in the pen of the creators:
Neighbor, the comedy dell'arte is a show created according to all the rules of Italian comedy, from real leather masks to witty and unexpected turns of intrigue, created on a framework script, which is a scaffolding for improvisation.

The focus of the whole action is the figure of Signora Flaminia, a financially dilapidated widow who moves into a small town. She's the titular neighbor on the hunt for a rich new husband. Around her revolves Pedrolino, her trusted servant, confidant and a boy to beat. Traf wants them to occupy an apartment right between the houses of two rich old men: Pantalone and Dottore. These, in turn, are the widowed fathers of two young Lovers. The destinies of the characters intersect more and more, looping the intrigue. The confusion is exacerbated by the indispensable servant for the artistic plot — the sly
Brighella, the resolute Togna and, of course, the honorable Arlecchino.

Will each of the characters achieve their goal in the finale? We encourage you to check it out!

The show premiered 10 years ago and was the first production of the COMEDY TROUPE. Today he returns to the theater boards refreshed and in an enlarged cast.

NATIONAL STAGE OF COMEDY DELL'ARTE AT THE PRAGUE THEATRE 52:
Created on the initiative of Teatr Praska 52 and Studio Dono in May 2016, it is the only such stage in Poland offering permanent encounters with art from the sixteenth century. Within its framework, the troupe COMEDIANTY works creating performances according to all the rules of Italian comedy, from real leather masks to looped intrigue full of unexpected twists. This combination of a centuries-old form with contemporary associations, references and insights makes this art not only current, but above all extremely attractive.
