“The bar works, there is no spin, they say how it is and about what it is. In the middle of the week, after the force, such a relief in the theater. Well, I didn't expect it. Such on a level. Shit, maybe theatre is for me? In the basement, with the tavern, they talked about these nightmares every day in such a way that now it is somehow easier. She even wanted to kiss before bed. Mine too!”

About the event

“The bar works, there is no spin, they say how it is and about what it is. In the middle of the week, after the force, such a relief in the theater. Well, I didn't expect it. Such on a level. Shit, maybe theatre is for me? In the basement, with the tavern, they talked about these nightmares every day in such a way that now it is somehow easier. She even wanted to kiss before bed. Mine too!”

“No break, because the whole evening is like a break, the best in elementary school. You watch at the bar or at the table. It's just such an outing spent in Poznań's favorite cellar. Together with your favorite and new artists. Not too long, not even on Sunday. Instead of “Contact Glass”. Live, literary humor, references to the present absurdities. And most importantly, the class! Level!”

In the evening, with an open bar and as many as two musicians, no stutter, outrageously up-to-date content! Entertainment! Sketches and songs! Debut slugs from the old years, sit-down stand-up, queer and even straight, funny and blunt.

Direction: Joanna Drozda Idea, script, selection of authors: Joanna Drozda Lyrics: Joanna Drozda and Michał Głaszczka Set design and lighting: Michał Głaszczka Music and arrangements: Michał Łaszewicz Costumes: Jolanta Łobacz Inspector: Magdalena Matusewicz Visual identity of the performance: Marcin Markowski

What an event it was! Because it was no ordinary spectacle, it was a joyous wallowing in scandal. But — what's important — without washing the dirt and throwing away the muscle. Brilliant mood, music, stars of the stage and stage, but also the theater workers who appeared in the performance, scandalizing all over! After all, it could not have been otherwise. Over a glass of scandalous drink, it was easier to shout “SCANDAL!” , coming out of a shell that overwhelms us all the time, which we often do not even know about. Freedom, looseness, great artists and this desire to catch everything that seems elusive, unknown, swept under the carpet or wrapped in a shroud of matter under the title “does not fall out”. Everything falls out! It just needs to be refined — and here you need to know, for example, about the “foreplay” from one of the couplets. “Scandal!” “those who do not know the spectacle, but know it only from stories, will cry out. Good, because that's what the scandal was all about. This is not an evening for lovers of sweetness... or is it just for them? So that they could finally see their eyes.

It will be such a performance, a cabaret at the Polish Theater in Poznań. It's called Scandal. And this is precisely the formula of the show, the cabaret, there are also songs. The music for this performance was composed by Michał Łaszewicz, who is the head of the musical department at the Academy of Music in Poznań, so this is a guarantee of quality. But there are also scandalous topics that will be discussed (...) Maybe we got a little used to such a sharp art formula, even through stand-up, because it relaxes us when someone crosses borders. It is here that we will also have the crossing of borders, but in a theatrical entourage, also with songs. In general, ladies and gentlemen, I will say colloquially, if someone wants to go to the polite Poznań after a band, then go to the Polish Theater in Poznań. I heartily recommend.

Listening to the prudish couplets about all kinds of sex, I began to wonder: what exactly is theater for me? What should he be like for me? Classic? Of course. Modern and contemporary? Sure. Extravagant and iconoclastic? As much as possible! Theater must break taboos and mercilessly expose our flaws. It has to show us as we really are — without retouching. It is supposed to hit us on the head, not to let us fall asleep, not to run away from the problems of everyday life and politics. But it's also supposed to breathe. For me, theater is diversity. It must enter the intestines and into the brain. It is supposed to rattle emotions, offend, cause laughter, tears and pure rage. It is impossible to be indifferent to him. Because theater can do anything... it can't just “be.”
