Marek Andrzejewski — author, composer, singer from the circle of poetic song and folk ballad; co-founder and pillar of the Lublin Federation of Bards. Winner of the main awards of the most important Polish festivals and song competitions, including the Student Song Festival in Krakow, the National Festival “Recital” in Siedlce, Castle Meetings “Let's sing Poetry” in Olsztyn. In the 90s he collaborated with the folk ensemble “Orchestra of St. Nicholas” and with the theater “Gardzienice”. As a singer and composer, he took part in the performance “Family Album” of the Grupa Chwilowa theater, and played hundreds of solo recitals and concerts with the Lublin Federation of Bards. He published lyrics in “Akcent” and in the writing “Song”. In 2025, as a music director, he participated in the International Festival “In the footsteps of Singer”. The song “Jak”, from Marek Andrzejewski's debut CD Trolejbusowy batyskaf, functions as the leitmotif of “The Land of Gentleness” — a literary and poetic song trend. The artist's work has reached a wide range of listeners, and the entire debut album is still a canon of Polish author's song. Marek Andrzejewski writes in a “bardic” manner about social issues and the relationship between nature and civilization. About truth, love, difficult choices, emotions, about the search for the spirituality of the modern, captivated man. His songs are melodic, upbeat, and at the same time striking and memorable. They are not easy to categorize, you can find elements of jazz, folk, bossa nova, rock and ballads. The artist has six original albums in his collection: CD Trolejbusowy batyskaf (1997), CD Dzień pietter (2003), CD Eléctrica sweter (2012), CD Akus( 2015), CD Hasztags (2018), CD Wariactwo (2021) and 14 discs recorded with the Lublin Federation of Bards. In July of this year, the book “Gold, Incense and Spam” was published. Songs written”, which is a collection of lyrics of songs written over 35 years of his presence on the poetic scene. The true value of Andrzejewski is reflected in concerts. The artist has excellent contact with the audience, exudes vivacity, positive energy and a sense of humor. For many years, he has been accompanied in concerts by his son, Michał — a very talented pianist and music producer. Together they developed and recorded songs for CD Wariactwo (2021). This album consists of author's songs with mature and bold lyrics. A strong message emerges from them about the search for what is most important in life. Musically, the album is carefully arranged, shimmering with a rich palette of sounds: from explosive, dynamic, spectacular rock songs to moody, attention-grabbing ballads. It is a musical feast. Musically and poetically.
