Sensory experiences for the little ones with Debbie and Franz

About the event

Scenographic sensory experiences for the little ones

In a sensory room surrounded by colorful curtains printed with nature's own shapes, Franz and Debbie welcome the little ones to a safe and exciting sensory experience.
All around in small and large suitcases, there hide tactile nature secrets, we unpack one by one. We must listen to them, notice them, smell them and examine them more closely.
What does it sound like when you rustle with plant seeds? What does sheep's wool smell like? Can you play music on a potted plant? What do pine cones smell like when they get wet? Is it possible to draw with the help of nature? And what does parsley really taste like?

1-4 years
Duration approx. 35 min per group of 12 people

Twice - at 09.30 and again at 10.30.

Free with registration

The workshop will be hosted by musician and illustrator Franz Bomberg and textile artist Debbie Kathrine Sørensen. They are affiliated with Solvang Library in 2026 for the project Naturens Fantasia/Fantasiens natura, which has received support from the Amager Vest Local Committee, the Nordea Foundation and the children's cultural funds.

Part of Theatre Magic in the Autumn HolidayWe are part of the festival 'Theatre Magic in the Autumn Holiday', which gives children and their adults the opportunity to experience performing arts in the city's cultural houses, libraries and theatres during week 42. The encounter with performing arts provides a shared experience where one is together in the present moment of magical moments - big and small.

Teatermagien can be found this year at Østerbro, Vesterbro, Amager, Nørrebro, in Vanløse, Valby, Indre By, Brønshøj-Husum, Sydhavn and Bispebjerg.

The festival is supported by the Augustinus Foundation and the Copenhagen Performing Arts Committee. At Amager, the festival is also supported by the Amager East and West Local Committee and the children's cultural funds.
